My name is Ren, and I recently graduated from an art focused high school. I come from a very mixed background and was raised quite secularly by my parents, although the majority of my family is Buddhist. I believe in a higher power and hold a deep interest in religious theory and philosophy, but I have yet to align with a specific sect. I’m attending college in the fall with a major in Neuroscience, and I hope to conduct research on treatments for neurodegenerative disorders such as Dementia and Parkinsons. In my free time I enjoy chain smoking, rock climbing, and painting. Some figures I admire are Simone Weil, George Bataille, Ivy Wolk, Yung Lean, and of course Alfred Cromwell although I’m not exactly his target audience. I value authenticity, art, and grace.

Nice to meet you. I live in the Austin metro and I also like art. I've been attending an online art school called New Masters Academy. I've been drawing for around 2 years now, and I plan to sell portraits or caricatures at the farmer's markets around here.

Also, when you say you have a mixed background, do you mean that you are mixed race? Or are you a mix of East Asian (or South East Asian) ethnicities?
