Northern Ireland Reacts to Illegal Immigrant Invasion

Post by admin »

From the NY Times:

Political leaders and police in Northern Ireland were urging restraint on Wednesday morning after a night of violence roiled the country in the wake of a brutal stabbing attack in Belfast.

Firefighters and emergency responders escorted immigrant families from their homes that had been set alight in Belfast on Tuesday night, as burning cars blazed on the street. A city bus was set on fire by young men on Newtownards Road in east Belfast, and garbage cans engulfed in flames were used to create roadblocks elsewhere in the city.

The unrest came after authorities charged Hadi Alodid, 30-year-old Sudanese man, with attempted murder in the stabbing attack Monday night, prompting calls from anti-immigrant activists for protest amid heightened tensions in the United Kingdom over immigration.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland said in a statement issued late Tuesday that “sporadic pockets of disorder” had broken out in a number of locations across Northern Ireland.

Michelle O’Neill, the First Minister of Northern Ireland, appealed for calm, saying there could be “no excuse and no justification for these attacks,” in a statement issued early on Wednesday.

“Groups of masked men burning families out of their homes is nothing less than disgusting cowardice. This has nothing to do with community. This is outright thuggery,” she wrote. She called the earlier stabbing attack in north Belfast “heinous and wrong,” but added that “there are dangerous attempts to exploit that to target and attack innocent people who are simply trying to live, work and raise their families here.”

Northern Ireland is the least ethnically diverse part of the United Kingdom, with just approximately 3.4 percent of residents from minority ethnic backgrounds.

As someone living in (one of the safest places) in london, I have to say that it is extremely tragic what is happening in this country. Just a few decades ago, we were seen as one of the greatest nations on the planet (e.g. the iron lady was seen as powerful, regardless of your political views). Now, we are nothing more than a decaying second-world country.

This is further catalyzed by our government, who are seemingly working backwards to destroy this country.

Have you heard about Kier Starmer's decision to 'ban explicit content for under-16s'?

The only practical way of doing this would be to install a mandatory government spyware onto every one of our phones- tracking exactly what we do at any moment.

This is ironic because of our attitudes to Eurasian countries such as russia and china. Traditionally, we look down on anything related to those countries- as they are 'nothing more than dictatorships with an evil government'. Yet we are following their path of censorship.

Around 14 months ago, the russian government banned VPNs. Now Starmer wants to do the same.
Around 8 months ago, the russian government released a new app 'MAX' (a successor to the VK messanger) which is government spyware. Soon, our government will install spyware to 'protect the children'

I've always been fascinated by the Iron Lady haha. I don't share her views though, as I think she was ultra capitalist but I do get what you're saying. Here in the US, that ban has been announced too about the UK. It sounds to me like a place that has no concept of free speech and you have CCTV cameras everywhere.

Maybe such issues wouldn't exist if the government didn't become our 'parents'. Like, why does a government need to ban 16 years old (and younger) from media and such, if the parents could have done it? I assume the issue is that parents in this age had given up on parenting they own children.

Let's say there is young child (6 months), and they get instantly access to iPad, iPhone, iEverything, just because the parents are not willing to give them something to do. People from generation (2007 or older) remember when we actually wanted to go outside, instead of sitting 24/7 on TV and such.

Also about "Soon, our government will install spyware to 'protect the children'", the government already has huge amount of spyware on your computer. Lets not forget that your CPU inside all your devices consists of spyware (Most CPUs consists of whole operating system and network stack to access your computer outside your device). Then there is spyware inside your windows, especially 11 and 10, which have backdoored disk encryption for police. I think you are way too late to this party.

Anyway, If government can provide a way to check the ID (which they own), then you have an official way to check the age of people by a website without website having to have third-party to 'check' your ID, which sucks. Also most governments are just enforcing in more correct way their own law, in Poland for example, there is law that says that no one under 16 can access social media, yet how many children there is on them? What's the point of a law that is not enforced? Either they remove the law (they won't) or correctly enforce it, by using an open source, government funded official app like in Poland (mObywatel app) and then any app can just ask you to provide the correct credentials and then the company only has your age truly verified by official app rather than third party (which still lots of companies don't do in Poland for some silly reason ).
