Greetings from Texas

Post by RAD93 »

I have been watching City Tutoring for about a year and have grown to be a frequented commenter there (under a different handle) and see many like minded individuals. It is refreshing. I am proud to have the opportunity to "meet" you all here.

My name is Reed, I live in Flower Mound. I am a 33 year old Christian male, married. I attended college for a couple of years and grew uninterested with the indoctrination. I have now been working in IT over for a decade. By the grace of God and hard work my wife and I paid off our mortgage early and live a very simple life, debt free. It is our hope to one day purchase land and open a sanctuary for animals who've been forgotten, abandoned or are in need of palliative care.

Hobbies:
Being outdoors (camping, hiking, fishing, hunting)
Conservation
Playing and watching baseball
Traveling and playing music (drums/percussion)

Currently reading:
The Shape of Fire
The Camp of the Saints
Haunted Baseball

Welcome, Reed!

Thank you for sharing your introduction! You've clearly put a lot of thought into how you and your wife want to live, and paying off a mortgage early while staying debt-free is no small accomplishment these days. I fully support you in that decision. I am also especially struck positively by your goal to open a sanctuary for abandoned and aging animals. To me, anyone who protects animals is already enough of all I need to know about your moral qualities.

The Camp of the Saints is an excellent choice of reading! Sadly, it´s become true today, as predicted.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts around the forum. Welcome aboard.
