Anybody here have tattoos? One thing I love about tattoos is that they make everyone feel a little more equal. I don't know how to explain it.

You can be a lawyer, a barista, an architect, a teacher, someone who's broke, someone who's successful, someone who's still figuring life out… and suddenly all those categories matter less.

Because at the end of the day, we're all just people collecting experiences. I think that's why tattoos have become so normal for our generation. They remind us that life isn't something you're supposed to optimize perfectly. Maybe that's also why hyper-polished versions of adulthood feel so outdated now.

The whole "keep everything clean, predictable and professional forever" mindset never really appealed to me. It feels like people were taught to build resumes instead of building lives.

I don't mind them, but I think on this site lots of people will reject them haha. Some of them look really good, depends on the person. I don't like them on women though.

Tattoos are how the poor and abused express narcissism.

I heard from a Chemistry professor that the ink from tattoos are absorbed by a pregnant woman's fetus. He also yapped about man-made Global Warming for a good hour and a half too. He was trying to persuade the department to create an ethics course so he could share more of his musings; so take this with a grain of salt.

It would be interesting to track a cohort of preggers and see if there's a correlation between tattooed mothers and child IQ. A twin study would be better, but I think it'd be hard to find an identical twin that also didn't have a penchant for tattoos.

Im not a chemist but that sounds really weird and far fetched. I mean he probably just doesnt like tattoos so he has to come up with an "academic" reason or something.

Hey OP, I got two tattoos myself, and I never really thought about it the way you put it, but you're right.

Mine ain't nothing fancy, just a simple one on my forearm to remind me where I come from, and one on my shoulder. Got 'em done back when I was working construction in Kentucky, and every guy on the crew had somethin' similar. Didn't matter if you were the foreman or the new guy, we all had at least one.

The way I see it, tattoos are just another way the elites try to divide us. They want us to think that having ink makes you somehow "less professional" or "untrustworthy." But I've worked alongside plenty of good people with tattoos, and I've also worked for some clean-cut types who are literally scum.

Life isn't about keeping everything clean and polished like you said. It's about the experiences we live through. I don't see what's the big deal some make about that and judge.

White blood cells can't digest Tattoo ink. The body produces more though.

I don't mind Tattoos, my Dad is heavily tatted, and my Friend has a Massive Dragon on his arm. They're both Great people. I've thought about getting Tattoos, but theres nothing I want permanently on my body.

Yeah I'm kind of in a different situation...my dad is not tatted, but I have and so do I think all my friends have at least one. Good to see you don't mind them because I've been noticing some really judgmental attitudes recently. As for permanent, they also have temporary ones if you´re really keen on a specific design.
