hello from western Washington

hi, Im Brad, I live in Gig Harbor, Washington. Im 61. I was a victim of 'new math' in high school which made algebra useless to me and had a horrible affect on my life preventing me from using my design talents to study engineering at college. I spent 40 years trying to self-educate myself in math so I could pursue my interests. I repeatedly failed until I got private math tutoring in Mexico for a very affordable price. But since my spanish was not very good I still was not enough to make me proficient but just give me a general idea of how calculus functions. So I currently spend all my time either studying math or self learning piano/guitar with books and online courses. I believe in God but I have a very bad opinion of most christians and the christian church in america as a whole.
